In his presentation Maxim Urazov, Director General of the Universiade-2019 Executive Board said that the operational groups and plans have been developed in Krasnoyarsk considering the experience of the past Universiades in Kazan and Sochi. A list of venues including sports, medical, transportation and accommodation facilities of the Universiade Village at the SibFU campus has finally been determined. Construction works on a larger scale under the supervision of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region are scheduled for 2016.

Besides, the Universiade staff has been undergoing thorough selection, with the following criteria concerned:
• involvement of students in the Universiade events;
• active volunteering;
• training and exchange of experience.

Apart from developing the infrastructure, the nearest plans include confirmation of the programs on ecology, transportation, human resources, etc.
The Krasnoyarsk report has been approved by the FISU executive office, praising the high level of the programs’ workout, accurate following the schedule, and especially creation of the Universiade headquarters in universities.

The FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien expressed general satisfaction with the way Russia is handling the preparation of the student sports events: “We are delighted to see that the Russian FISU project which started from the summer Universiade in Kazan has now grown into an international educational centre. We have made a big step forward. Universiade itself and all the preparation works is a huge event that lasts, however, for 2 weeks only, so it is crucial for us to have something left behind afterwards. That’s why Krasnoyarsk is already challenged to thoroughly think over the legacy. And meanwhile we are looking forward to the real Siberian winter!”
