SibFU the best mass sports oriented university in Russia

SibFU has become the best Russian university in the field of sports activity management. Achievements of the University in the World Summer and Winter Universiades and the all-Russia student championships have been marked.

The awarding ceremony took place on 18th November, 2015 within the frame of
all-Russia Ball “Stars of Students’ Sports” held in the State Central Concert Hall “Russia”. Moscow State Academy of Physical Education was acknowledged as the best higher education institution of the country.

The participants of the student’s sports ball were rectors of Russian higher education institutions, coaches, students, leaders of sports divisions, federations and organizations. They were welcomed by the president of International University Sports Federation Oleg Matytsyn. According to him nowadays a strong team of student sports has been created in Russia that is respected internationally. According to FISU Russian University Sports Federation is acknowledged to be the best in the world.

Annually the ball gathers together Russian students having left mark in the sports history of the last year. The delegation of the SibFU consisted of students of SibFU schools:

Ivan Rybkin, School of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism, master of sport, multiple champion of all-Russian competitions and medalist of Russian Swimming Championship, champion of the University Sports Festival among federal universities.
Oleg Pitchugin, School of Physical Education, Sports, and Tourism, candidate master of sport, the best futsal goalkeeper among higher education institutions,
Anna Tsyganova, School of Architecture and Design, master of sport, prize winner at the 1st European Climbing Youth Cup
Kseniya Burakova, School of Oil and Gas, master of sport, bronze medalist at the XXVI Ivan Yarygin 's International Grand Prix Freestyle and Women's Wrestling Tournament.
