FISU educational seminar took place at Siberian Federal University, April 11–14, 2016, at which the representatives of the FISU shared their experiences of holding the World Universiades with the organizers of the Winter Universiade-2019.
Twelve delegates headed by Milan Augustine, FISU Winter Universiade Director, and the representatives of SibFU, the Directorate of the Winter Universiade-2019, the Municipality, relevant ministries and agencies, and marketing partners from Krasnoyarsk took part in the seminar. The work was based on sections. Every section discussed in detail their set of questions for a specific section of the master plan. The document includes 49 functional areas. During the educational sessions the following key functional areas of work were discussed:
The mayor of the Universiade Village in Kazan Ilnur Rakhimov spoke about his experience. Therefore, in his opinion, almost all the factors influence the work of the village. It is necessary to take into account local features and season of the games, the zoning of the space and the life cycle of the venue that you want to test before the real-time games with a maximum load. Working schedule of different services (health centers, laundries, beauty salons, etc.) has been presented to the audience along with the options for residential premises completing, organization of catering, cultural events and the work of the Centre of Religions.

If we talk about your Universiade Village, in my opinion, when buildings branding, landscaping and fencing will be complete- it will be supervenues. We see that not just standard student dorm rooms are presented, but real apartments. This is even more than the required level of the Universiade. In addition, uneven topography of the village in Krasnoyarsk, in my opinion — is a big advantage. We have built our venue from the scratch and almost in the wilderness - it caused some difficulties. I was impressed by a modern building of the Congress Hall of SibFU where International Information Centre will be based - visitors will be comfortable there."

During theFISU visit, which lasted for a week, the delegates inspected all the venues, met with the venue managers and the sports managers, checked the strategic plan and made recommendations for further action.
