Siberian Federal University welcomes new and returning students to its four campuses this Saturday, September 1, 2007. First-year students start the 2007-2008 academic year with orientation events on Friday.

Highlights of this year’s orientation programme include a bus tour visiting four university campuses on both banks of the Yenisey-River, a formal celebration and meetings at the four campuses in the afternoon of September 1. This will be followed by a reception in the Siberia Hall and the university's first-year introduction event, in which the University Rector Eugene A. Vaganov and the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, Alexander G. Khloponin will talk to students about their first academic experience at a new, stronger university. Later in the evening the students will interact with their peers in an informal setting.
