Siberian Federal University

The university has launched its first newspaper called "Novaya Universitetskaya Zhizn'" ("New University Life") and it will be published fortnightly during term time.

The newspaper's editors hope that it will keep university community members connected and will broaden their views on different facets of academic life and deepen their involvement in the community. This week's news stories highlight prospects for updating the university's research equipment, review an international workshop on urban planning and two conferences hosted by the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, examine ZOTTO tall tower for monitoring global climate change. There are also columns to welcome new and returning students and to give them advice on how to spend their university years happily and efficiently.
