At the moment, the School includes the International Northern School and the Arctic International Business School. Basic departments will be in Tura, Dudinka, Igarka, Turukhansk and Norilsk. This year, the School will begin pre-university training at the International Northern School and start adult education programs at the Arctic Business School.

The enrollment of students for the main higher education programs is planned to begin on September 1, 2021.

“The School of the North and the Arctic was designed by the Government of the region together with the staff of the university, and now we are following the plan. The International Northern School's task is to prepare children from the municipalities of the Far North for sitting the unified state exam and admission, and the Arctic Business School is to retrain those who already have received higher education, but need special skills to work in the North. Both of the Schools will start working since October 1. The recruitment of first-year students is planned for the next academic year. The School of the North is also needed to concentrate the research in this area; it is a structure aimed specifically at solving problems related to the development of the Arctic,” — says Maksim Rumiantsev, rector of SibFU.
