Siberian Federal University

Siberian Federal University hosted a regional stage of the World Championship in programming from the 26th to the 29th of October. The winners are from the Institute of Arts and Sciences, SFU. The team received a laptop and will compete at the next stage of the competition in Barnaul.

This annual event is held by the Association of Computing Machinery established in 1943. Eighty three thousand computing specialists belong to this association which is involved in research and education.

The university students who competed in Krasnoyarsk represented 20 Departments of Computer Science from various universities of Siberia and the Russian Far East. Eleven teams will participate in the next stage of the competition.
