Researchers from Siberian Federal University gave their talks on educational practices in the field of popularizing digital technologies in universities. Lectures by experts from the School of Philology and Language Communication and the School of Space and Information Technology were devoted to trends in the use of artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, and machine learning.

“At the meeting of rectors which was part of the event, our rector's speech was dedicated to digital transformation - an area which is a priority for SibFU. Illustrating his main theses, our team presented some of the current practices of SibFU in the field of digitalization in the form of lectures. My part was devoted to reading social networks based on emotions since it is important for specialists to understand when and how linguistic preanalysis helps machine learning,” said Anastasia Kolmogorova, head of the Department of Romance Languages and Applied Linguistics at SibFU.

The forum also listened to Elena Chistova, head of the Department of Oriental Languages of the School for Philology and Language Communication, who spoke on the dialogue system of simultaneous interpreters, and a lecture on intelligent technologies of information and analytical control systems by Dmitry Perfiliev, assistant professor of the Department of Artificial Intelligence Systems.

The forum was attended by rectors and researchers from leading Siberian universities, including Tomsk State University, Tomsk State University of Control Systems and Radioelectronics, Omsk State University, and Novosibirsk State Technical University.
