Within those two days, the delegation had an extended meeting the Government of Krasnoyarsk Territory, as well as excursions to the Scientific Library of Siberian Federal University, the School of Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering, the School of Business Management, the School of Space and Information Technology and the School of Gastronomy.

The key event of the visit was an agreement between the two universities aimed at the development of academic mobility, the organization of joint cultural and scientific events and internships.

SibFU Rector Maksim Rumiantsev noted that, despite the fact that the agreement was signed during this visit, the actual beginning of the cooperation was the arrival of six students of Vitebsk State University to participate in the Summer University 2021 project.
“Among the main scientific areas that are actively developing at VSU are mathematical modelling, rational use of natural resources and environmental protection, linguistics and jurisprudence, management of human capital reproduction, psychological and pedagogical resources, and the formation of a healthy lifestyle. In other words, the areas that are also the subject of scientific interest of SibFU scientists. Siberian Federal University is removed from the federal centre and from Vitebsk, but this should not become an obstacle if universities have intersection points,” stressed the rector.

Rector of Vitebsk State University Valentina Bogatyryova: “Our university has 14 well-developed scientific schools and 2 councils for the defence of dissertations, and 2 thousand foreign students. In this regard, we are always glad to cooperate, especially since the Summer Program at Siberian Federal University was very interesting for our students. I support the idea of exchanging both students and teachers. All in our hands. SibFU has found a reliable partner in our person, now our task is to exchange contracts with the leaders of the Schools and start working together.”

Masherov Vitebsk State University was founded in 1910, and in 2021, it has 10 faculties. The university was awarded the prize of the Government of the Republic of Belarus for achieving significant results in the field of quality and competitiveness of products, services provided or work performed, the introduction of innovative technologies and modern management methods.
