In 2008 faculty and staff members of Siberian Federal University published 100 articles in world journals on technical and natural sciences (according to the Web of Science data base).

Siberian Federal University and IBS - company have finished the project concerning the creation of the unique system of education for students of economical specialties.

From December 1 until December 5 Dr. Enrique Quero Gervilla, Professor, Head of the Department for Slavonic Philology of Granada University (Spain) read a course of lectures.

From January 27 until February 15, 2009 Krasnoyarsk city on the base of Siberian Federal University will host a documentary films scenario workshop.

Russian national exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation in the exhibition center called India Expo Centre EXPO XXI in New Delhi (Republic of India) from the 25th of November to the 28th of November 2008. The exhibition was the main arrangement related to the presentation of “Russia’s year” in Republic of India.

On November 29, 2008 the 3rd International Student Festival “Studentship Without Borders” was held in MixMax exposition centre.

Siberian Federal University hosted a visit from the delegation of the Oxford Russia Fund from November 13 till November 16, 2008. The members of the Oxford Russia Fund delegation - Anthony Smith CBE Former President of Magdalen College of Oxford University, Former Director of the British Film Institute, the Chairman of the Oxford Russia Fund Board of the Trustees, Alastair Tulloch, the Principal of Tulloch&Co., the Treasurer of the Oxford Russia Fund, and Alla Sergiyevskaya, the Moscow Representative of the Oxford Russia Fund, had a meeting with Nikolay N. Dovzhenko, Vice-Rector on Innovations and Development at which possible ways of collaboration between Siberian Federal University and the Oxford Russia Fund were discussed.

On November 10-13, 2008 new exposition center in Stuttgart (Germany) hosted Global Connect International Forum and the 3rd German-Russian Small and Medium-size Businesses Conference which became the final events of the Year of Siberia in Germany. Within the framework of the Forum the presentation of the Siberian Economics (“Beyond oil and gas”) and exhibition “Innovations' potential of Siberia” with participation of the SibFU representatives were held.

During the period from November 5 till November 9 the “Siberia” International Exhibition Centre hosted the Second Krasnoyarsk Book Fair organized by Mikhail Prokhorov’s Fund and the Krasnoyarsk Territory Administration.
