On 14 July 2022, a delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan visited Siberian Federal University. During the visit, Adviser to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Mekhriddin Khayriddinov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Russia Botirjon Asadov met with the management of SibFU.

SibFU researchers together with researchers from Krasnoyarsk Research Centre have developed a new design for an electrode of a light-induced cell for water splitting.

The Russian Creative Week (RCW) forum was held in Moscow on 7–10 July 2022. Krasnoyarsk Territory became a strategic partner of the event and was presented in a separate section for the first time. SibFU took part in the program presenting its educational and strategic projects in the field of creative industries.

On 10 July 2022, Siberian Federal University held an opening of SUMMER UNIVERSITY educational project.

On 1 July 2022, SibFU’s School of Business Management held the first international graduation and awarded degree diplomas to Russian graduates and graduates from China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Ghana, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Belarus and Laos.

On 4 July 2022, SibFU’s Academic Council held Osamu Shimomura Foundation awarding – ten young researches became laureates of the award For the Contribution in the Field of Bioluminescence.

Siberian Federal University has taken part in EXPO-RUSSIA KYRGYZSTAN-2022 international industrial exhibition, and Bishkek Business Forum, which were held in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) on 21-23 June 2022.

When, in 2018, researchers from Siberian Federal University and their colleagues from the Institute of Biophysics of the Federal Research Centre SB RAS, published an article in an international journal about the Boganid char (Salvelinus boganidae) which lives in the lakes of the Taimyr, and proved that it holds the record among all known wild fish species in terms of content of omega-3, it became a world discovery. Until then, sea fish was considered the most useful.

On 21 June 2022, the School of Business Management of Siberian Federal University defended a comprehensive final qualifying work. Students of different majors and minors presented projects united by the task of environmental reorganization of RUSAL JSC.

Krasnoyarsk scientist Alexander Kirdyanov have taken part in an international research devoted to the study of migration of driftwood (trees and wood residues trapped in a river or sea and transported by their current) from Russia to the shores of Iceland. Having examined wood samples using dendrochronological methods, scientists have suggested that due to global climate warming and melting of glaciers, the delivery of driftwood to the Arctic islands of Europe may cease by 2060.
