TMNT team of 3rd and 4th year students of the CDIO Bachelor's Degree Department of the School of Non-Ferrous Metals and Materials Science, SibFU, took II place in the final of the 10thInternational Engineering CASE-IN Championship. The championship final was held on 25-27 May 2022 in Moscow.

The School of Engineering Physics and Radioelectronics (SibFU) held the XXIII All-Russian Scientific and Engineering Conference with international participation — Modern Radio Electronics, where more than 350 scientists presented their works on current developments in such areas as satellite navigation, telecommunications, and technical means of communication.

Researchers of Siberian Federal University and their partners from Austria and France have found out whether radio emission can escape from the magnetosphere of the planet Upsilon Andromedae b, and presented a new method for obtaining a lower estimate of the mass of hot Jupiters.

Russian universities launch recruitment of students for digital departments in the coming September. More than 385 thousand people are expected to graduate from digital departments by the end of 2025. The project is being implemented on the basis of 115 universities, both participating and just going to participate in the Priority 2030 program. The universities will offer 300 educational programs for students; training starts in September 2022.

An employee of the management of dormitories of the Middle East Technical University (METU) from Ankara, Kılıç Hikmet Gökhan, visited Siberian Federal University as part of the Erasmus+ professional exchange. During a week, he learned how students live in Russia in order to implement the best practices at his home university.

According to the bibliometric portal SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), the Biology scientific journal of SibFU has been indexed by Scopus in the fourth quartile for the first time, and other SibFU scientific journals – the Humanities, Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry have confirmed their positions in the second, third and fourth quartiles, respectively.

Gastronomic R&D Park, a strategic project of Siberian Federal University, was presented at the RosBioTech 15th International Biotechnology Forum in Moscow.

Siberian Federal University hosted Interethnic Friendship Festival and brought together more than 250 students from countries near and far abroad.

Siberian Federal University hosted the International-2022 futsal championship among international students. The team from Kazakhstan became the champion.

The winners among the participating 100 students from 21 schools in the traditional competition Best SibFU Student 2022 were announced. The competition had held 5 challenges and announced winners in 6 categories.
