Israeli delegation at SibFU

The representatives of the State of Israel visited SibFU on 31 October 2013. The delegation included First Secretary of the Embassy of Israel to the Russian Federation Mrs Iris Zwaig, Professor Hamutal Ben-Josef from Ben-Gurion University, a famous israeli poet, literary critic and researcher of Hebrew literature, and Mrs Nataly Zaretsky, coordinator of collaborating with universities from the Israeli Cultural Centre, Novosibirsk.

Arctic, Nansen, and SibFU

Krasnoyarsk Surikov Museum of Fine Arts launched its exhibition on Fridtjof Nansen, a scientist, explorer and conquerer of the Arctic, on 3 October 2013. The Arctic and northern territories is an important study field for SibFU. This summer, a researcher from SibFU took part in an expedition to honour 100 anniversary of Nansen's travel to Siberia.

Science Museum launched at SibFU

The Museum of Science and Innovation launched on 11 October 2013 at SibFU is the first science museum in Krasnoyarsk krai. Its first visitors were secondary school pupils. They could try devices and interactive exhibits to study some basic laws of mechanics, optics, electricity. SibFU students demonstrated 'Euricum' experiment to make a science show.

Anthony John Sinskey becomes SibFU's Honorary Professor

Professor of Microbiology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology received the status of SibFU's Honorary Professor. The event of receiving the diploma and the mantle occurred during the research session on the 'Biotechnologies of New Biomaterials' research project.
