Russian Government's Scholarships
300 state-funded places were granted to Siberian Federal University for international applicants to study at the Preparatory Department (Russian Language Preparation Programs) and to enroll to educational programs (Bachelor, Master, Postgraduate).
The Russian Government’s Scholarship covers full tuition and a monthly allowance. Travel costs, living expenses and a mandatory health insurance program are not included. The Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
A single state-funded place will allow you to start your education with learning Russian as a foreign language and then proceed on a degree program of your choice in one of SibFU schools.
The application procedure starts in January. A deadline depends on the applicant’s country of origin (may vary from March till June).
SUBMIT AN APPLICATION to the Russian Embassy in your home country (.pdf) OR to the Russian Center for Science and Culture.

State-funded places for ex-Compatriots
Siberian Federal University provides the opportunity for applicants with the status of ex-Compatriot to apply for state-funded places. To do this, you need to submit to the UniAdmission Office documents confirming that you or your immediate family (mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, great-grandmother, great-grandfather, etc.) had the citizenship of the USSR or lived in Russia in the past.

“Open Doors” Russian Scholarship Project
University encourages undergraduate students to participate in the Open Doors, a Russian Scholarship Project held by the Global Universities Association, to have a chance to win a full scholarship to study at a Master’s program at one of the leading Russian universities.

The Belchonok Olympiad
The University Olympiad for schoolchildren "Belchonok" has been held by the Siberian Federal University since 2013. In the previous 2019-2020 academic year the Olympiad received the third level in the list of the Russian Council of school Olympiads.
There are two main stages:

Stage 1 (selection)
October 1, 2020 – January 13, 2021

Stage 2 (final)
January 25 – March 23, 2021
Preliminarily, this stage will be held in person at the regional venues of the Olympiad.
Winners and prize-winners of the final stage in profiles "mathematics", "chemistry", "physics" and "informatics" can enter Russian universities "without exams" or get maximum points in the chosen subject of the Olympiad automatically.
Participants need to complete tasks on the platform of the Olympiad. Until January 21, 2021 organizers will check works and form a rating list of winners. This stage is held only remotely, so you need to get registered in the participant's personal account.
