Athlete of the Russian women's wrestling team Olga Khoroshavtseva, master’s student at the School of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism, Siberian Federal University, won a license for the Olympic Games in Tokyo in the weight class up to 53 kg.

The Last Chance final qualifying tournament was held on 7 May 2021 in Sofia (Bulgaria).

“My performance at the tournament in Bulgaria was the best in my career,” noted Olga Khoroshavtseva for the RIA Novosti. “The semifinal fight turned out to be the most challenging, and each stand was tough in its own way. But I had gone through all the difficulties, and I won the license. And I still had a lot of reserves, I was calm and confident that if something went wrong, I would multiply and win my scores. I’m glad that we won the license. I am determined to do a great job of training for the Olympic Games and will try to perform to the best of my abilities”.

Olga Khoroshavtseva is a two-time European champion and a bronze medalist of the 2019 World Wrestling Championship in the weight class up to 53 kg.
