On 19 October 2021, Times Higher Education published the next version of the Emerging Economies University Rankings 2022. Siberian Federal University has moved up 50 positions and entered the 201-250 group in the world.
The ranking methodology is based on such performance indicators as teaching, research, citation, international interaction, income from production activities. SibFU showed positive dynamics in each of the indices.
“THE Emerging Economies University Rankings covers more than 698 leading universities from 50 countries, including China, India, South Africa, Brazil, Poland, Romania, the Czech Republic, Lithuania and others. Everyone knows at what tremendous speed higher education and universities are developing in these countries. Russia now ranks third in the number of universities in the ranking thus overtaking Brazil and with only China and India above. SibFU is ranked 18th among Russian universities,” said Evgenia Turtapkina, vice-rector for Information Policy of SibFU.
