ISRO renders following services:
- Planning and organization of activities aimed to recruit international applicants to study at SibFU.
- Providing information and consulting on all admission issues for international prospective students.
- Preliminary evaluation procedure of foreign educational documents and determination of the possibility of applying for degree programs.
- Recognition of foreign educational documents.
- Support in admission procedures of international applicants to preparatory courses and degree programs.

ISSSO renders following services:
- Informational Support. Pre-arrival, post-arrival and ongoing orientations. Preparation and publishing of leaflets and guidebooks. Migration compliancy, orientations and point of contact (actual migration documentation is ran by other office).
- Adaptation Assistance and Emergency Services. Filling in documents, purchasing insurances, assisting students to banks, hospitals, police stations etc.
NB! Sometimes assistance is required even if student\staff member does speak Russian language, as visits to certain places (e.g. hospitals and police stations) could be highly stressful, overwhelming and causing anxiety, or might require a legal representative.
- Cultural programming:
- Retaining and sharing one’s own culture
- Exploring Russian culture
- Engaging in university-wide student’s life activities
- Engaging in city-wide activities
- Discipline control on campus. Checking compliance with dormitory rules etc.
- Conflict mediation. Mediating conflicts with other students, staff or faculty members.
- Problem solving. Helping students to solve any possible problem, from suggesting souvenir shops to helping to cope in emergency situations.
