SibFU's management case has become a part of the 'European collection'

A management case co-authored by Professor Tatyana Butova (Siberian Federal University) was included in the collection of the European Case Clearing House (ECCH), the world largest collection of management cases for teaching and studying.

The case was based on the research data collected by students from the Institute of Economics, Management and Environmental Studies. According to Tatyana Butova, the case is a part of active learning, it can be applied to teaching at any university or business school and it helps to discuss positioning of a healthcare company recounting a real life management situation at a Krasnoyarsk company.

It is not quite easy to have a case featured on the ECCH web site.

"First, a case should be based on real life management situations and this should be evidenced by a special document from the company's CEO giving a permission to use their data. Second, a case should be not be only interesting for the students of a single university or country, it should be of interest for European students and teachers. Third, a case should be tested in the classroom (President Programme at Siberian Federal University and the Higher School of Manangement at Saint Petersburg State University)", Tatyana Butova says.
