The delegation included deputy rector Jiang Sayoguang and the head of the department of international exchange and collaboration Jiu Yuisheng. The parties renewed the agreement on academic exchange. Sergey Verkhovets, deputy rector (research and international affairs) signed the agreement on behalf of SibFU.

The agreement on academic exchange was first signed in 2007. The annual exchange implies that 20-40 students from the Institute of Philology and Language Communication study at Heilongjiang University. Chinese students come to study to Siberian Federal University.

In addition, the agreement implies short term summer internships for undergraduates and doctoral students from Siberian Federal University in China.
