The project assembled a team of 20 students majoring in several design and architecture fields: planners, specialists in transportation and new construction materials, students majoring in urban planning and real estate analysis, heating, ventilation and water circulation. «There was a lot of team work and we depended on each other. There was a lot of information exchange, it was hard work but it gave us a tremendous experience, — SibFU's student Ilya Dolgushin says. — I beleieve such projects should become students' permanent occupation, they are not just very useful but they trigger SibFU's development».

The team advisor was Vladimir Yakubchuk, the chief engineer from 'Cooperative Design Workshop A-2' company. He was assisted by the faculty at the Institute of Engineering and Construction and the Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism, Siberian Federal University.

The project presentation gave a complete account of the project: from the exterior design of the building to the project documentation. The objective was to build a student sports centre accessible to the community. There will be training venues, a swimming pool, covered track and field facility, parking sites, cafes, etc. The cost of the complex with the size of 40, 000 square metres was 1 billion 400 million roubles (about 30 million dollars).

«A lot of design companies present projects of similar quality that should be adjusted to the needs of the project afterwards, — Eugene Diev, Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction fro Krasnoyarsk Krai said — This means that the quality of graduates is high. It would be useful if these students could stay and work in the field.».

Vladimir Abramov, the chief engineer of the regional urban planning institute 'Krasnoyarskgrazhdanproject' mentioned the high quality of the project which aimed at teaching a systemic perspective and seeing a building as an organism: 'It gives plenty of experience aimed at achieving results and building an efficient team from several programmes of the institute'..

The State Comission assessing the work of students from seven programmes gave an excellent mark to the project.
