SibFU rector Eugene Vaganov and SiBFU's delegation attended the expert community meeting on entrepreneurship at tertiary institutions and research centres on 7 August 2012. The meeting's chair was Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and it was held in Novosibirsk.
Prime Minister said at the meeting on developing entrepreneurship at Russian research centres: «The main and most complicated consideration is creating the necessary regulations to favour the innovative activity on the part of the state». He said that three hundred innovative companies had been created in Siberian Federal District in three years. They received significant preferences in accounting, financial reporting, taxation and renting.
