Evgeny Ustyugov wins the first race of the World Cup.

Evgeny Ustyugov, a second year master's student from the Institute of Physical Education, Sports and Tourism, won the first race of the World Cup in biathlon on 25 November 2012. Evgeny Ustyugov is a member of the RF national team and the mixed relay competition was held in Sweden.

Evgeny Ustyugov competed at the final stage of the relay, he made quick shots without any losses and he won the race. Norwegian athletes won the second place, Chech athletes were the third.

«It is exciting to start a season with a relay,Evgeny Ustyugov said. — It was even more so as I had to compete at the final stage. My rivals were strong teams from Norway and France, other teams are also quite strong. It is hard when you do not know what to expect of other competitors. Our team gave a wonderful performance.
