Alexander Uss meets winners of the Jessup competition

Krasnoyarsk Assembly Chair Alexander Uss had a meeting with the winners of the national championship for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition on 22 February 2013.

Students from the Law Institute, SibFU, were the first among the 42 teams to compete at the national tournament of this most exciting competition involving students from the world's legal tertiary institutions.

Siberian Federal University was represented by students from the Department of Comparative Law. Xenia Gulyaeva, Igor Denisov, Anastasia Kachanova, Olga Koroleva, and Olga Sablina will join other Russian teams to compete for the International White and Case Jessup Cup in Washington, DC, from 31 March to 6 April 2013.

They are the students who could show an important result at a major international competition. , — Alexander Uss said. — Students from the Law Institute became the leaders of the national championship of Philip Jessup Competition held under the auspices of the UN. This country has many universities with the long traditions of international collaboration: Moscow State University, Saint Petersburg State University, the Higher School of Economics. All of them were behind Siberian Federal University as students from Siberia gained more points from international judges».
