SibFU and oncologists from Krasnoyarsk to sign a collaboration agreement

SibFU's specialists attended a working meeting on developing nuclear medicine in the region. The meeting was also attended by senior management from Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Oncological Diagnostic Centre and Siberian Clinical Centre of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

Professor Ekaterina Shishatskaya, head of the Department of Medical Biology at the Institute of Fundamental Biology and Biotechnology, proposed a master's programme to provide skilled professionals for the oncological hospital and Federal Medical and Biological Agency.

The representatives of Krasnoyarsk medicine are ready to meet the university undergraduates, give popular lectures and show students around medical institutions. Their proposals made the foundation of the collaboration agreement among Krasnoyarsk Regional Clinical Oncological Diagnostic Centre, Siberian Clinical Centre of the Federal Medical and Biological Agency and Siberian Federal University.

The meeting emphasized the importance of nuclear medicine for Krasnoyarsk Krai. The Oncological Diagnostic Centre may get new equipment as a result of the reconstruction programme. The equipment for radiation therapy is a part of the programme.
