Professor Vladimir Shaidurov, Head of the Department of Computational and Information Technologies at the Institute of Mathematics and Computer Science received the RF Government 2012 Award in Science and Technology. Professor Shaidurov has a co-appointment as Director, Institute of Computational Modelling at the Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Branch. The RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed the document on giving the award.
The Award Council recommended 30 projects on various topics receive awards. Professor Shaidurov's project is about developing ICT infrastructure for interdisciplinary research as the foundation of economic and social development of Russia's eastern regions.
