Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor visits SibFU Universiade' headquarters

Krasnoyarsk Krai Governor Lev Kuznetsov and Krasnoyarsk Assembly Chair Alexander Uss visited The Student Universiade's Headquarters at SibFU. Ten universities in the region established similar students' unions as a part of a bidding campaign to host Winter Universiade in 2019.

Lev Kuznetsov examined the headquarters and spoke to students. He recommended to involve more students and faculty in the union's work. The heaad of the region recommended the management of 'Sports in Krasnoyarsk 2019' NGO develop an online resource for all students' headquarters for the Universiaade.

The headquarters promote the idea of Winter Sports competition in Krasnoyarsk. They also teach volunteers that will take part in the relay of carrying the Universiade 2013 light. .

Later, Lev Kuznetsov and Alexander Uss spoke with the Rectors of Krasnoyarsk universities. The Goverrnor reminded his audience that Krasnoyarsk has a rival (Valais, Switzerland) in the bidding campaign to host the Winter Universiade.

«Universiade is an international event that builds new development perspectives and it is worth fighting for. It is an opportunity to build a new attitude to student sports and healthy life style. It is a great responsibility », — Lev Kuznetsov said.
