Delegation from Finnish university visits SibFU

The delegation from Lappeenranta University of Technology (Finland) visited SibFU on 17 April 2013.

A leading Finnish university teaching programmes in engineering was represented by Dr Veli-Matti Virolainen (Vice Rector, Research and Collaboration with Russia), Tero Lehikoinen (Project Coordinator, Innovation and Inventions), university faculty and researchers.

The visit was initiated by SibFU's Finnish partners. According to Dr Virolainen, LTU's Vice Rector (Research and Collaboration with Russia), collaboration with Russian universities is among LTU's top priorities. However, LTU's representatives visits have been previously restricted to the European part of this country. Building connections with SibFU - Dr Virolainen said - is especially important considering SibFU's recent research achievements.
