VI session of the UN Krasnoyarsk model launched at SibFU

The VI session of the UN Krasnoyarsk model opened on 29 May 2013. It was combined with a full day of workshops and mini lectures on diplomacy and international relations.

Public lectures were delivered by nine lecturers. They are the representatives of the SibFU research community and they study and teach international relations, philosophy, history, philology, law, and engineering. The Secretariat of the UN Krasnoyarsk model received an acknowledgement letter from the Chair of SibFU's Young Researchers Council for introducing the humanities in engineering education.

Vasily Nikulenkov, head of the project 'Model of the UN at SibFU': « 'Model of the UN at SibFU' is a diplomatic event and during the previous five sessions we did not have an opening ceremony. Delegates started with listening to countries' perspectives followed by debates and resolutions. Then there was voting on resolutions and young 'ministers aand embassadors' signed the document. This year was very special for the model as this session was approved by the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs».

The opening ceremony was attended by the representative of the RF Ministry of Foreign Affairs, university administration (Sergey Verkhovets, Vice Rector, Research and International Collaboration), Ivan Pfanenshtil, head of the Department of Globalism and Geopolitics.
