Robert Pszczel, Director of the NATO Information Office in Moscow, met Sergey Verkhovets, Vice Rector (Research and International Collaboration) on 16 October 2013 at SibFU.

The discussions were about joint projects along the lines of the NATO's Information Office activity, students' visits to NATO's headquarter, obtaining funding from the Information Office and SibFU's participation in the programme 'Science for Peace and Security'.

Mr Pszczel talked about the high level of infrastructure and students' training compared with those at international educational centres. According to Mr Pszczel, he heard a lot of the university and he was glad to visit it in person. «SibFU's size, area and the number of students are amazing, it is indeed one of the largest Russian universities. We are always open for collaboration with a federal university. I hope the directions of collaboration outlined during the visit will become real and enhanced projects», — he said.

Robert Pszczel talked about the public lecture where he spoke on the relations of Russia and NATO, their evolution, challenges, potentials and perspectives: «I was pleasantly surprised: there were many young people sincerely interested in the relations of Russia and NATO.
