Eugene Vaganov is a member of Russian Science Foundation's Trustee Board.

SibFU's Rector Eugene Vaganov will represent higher education on the Trustee Board of Russian Science Foundation. RF President Vladimir Putin signed the document on 12 December 2013. Eugene Vaganov is the only representative of higher education on the Trustee Board.

Russian Science Foundation was established in early November. According to the Law on Foundation, it will support basic research, develop and strengthen research labour pool, build research intensive products, develop experiments for further research, and support international collaboration in research and technology.

The Foundation's Trustee Board includes 15 distinguished researchers. According to the law, the members sit on board for five yeras. The Board's head is RF President's Adviser Andrey Fursenko.

Eugene Vaganov, the only representative of higher education on theTrustee Board, is the best cited Russian university rector.
