Eugene Vaganov is a member of Universiade 2019 Organising Committee

RF Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev signed a document on establishing the Organizing Committee to oversee the planning and development of XXIX Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk. SibFU will be represented by SibFU's rector, Academician Eugene Vaganov.

According to the document, the Organizing Committee consists of 30 members. They include members of the RF Government, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Migration Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Russian Student Sports Union. SibFU will be represented by SibFU's rector, Academician Eugene Vaganov.

Igor Shuvalov, First Deputy of the RF Prime Minister, will oversee the work to host Universiade 2019. First Deputy to the Organizing Committee's Chair will be Krasnoyarsk krai Governor Lev Kuznetsov.

The document also recommends the RF Ministry of Sports and Russian Student Union develop and present to the Organizing Committee a draft of major events for planning and developing Universiade 2019. The draft will have to be ready within the following three months.

The document on planning and developing XXIX Winter Universiade 2019 in Krasnoyarsk was signed by President Vladimir Putin on 14 January 2014.
