SibFU student took part in Economics Summer School in China

A summer school by Russian-Chinese Association of Universities of Economics was held at University of International Business and Economics in Beijing from July 27th till August 7th. Eight Russian students from the associated universities took part in the event, including SibFU student Ekaterina Ivantsova.

The participants were given a series of lectures on economic development of China, its financial system and business culture. The students also visited Beijing Hyundai Motor Company to learn about the corporate strategy, organizational structure and workshops.

Further on the students moved to Shanghai, where they were hosted by Shanghai University of International Business and Economics. The schedule included all major sightseeing in the both cities, which allowed to compare the two key megalopolises in China.

SibFU student Ekaterina Ivantsova shares her impressions: “It was such a unique opportunity to represent SibFU in this Summer School named ‘New silk road: fresh ideas in collaboration between China and Russia’. I had a chance to share professional and cultural experience with Chinese and Russian students. The program made it possible to build up-to-date understanding of economic system of China, Russian-Chinese relationship and its prospective development”.

Summer schools of the kind work in both ways. Krasnoyarsk has succeeded in a similar project this year, and now SibFU is looking forward to holding a Summer School for students from China in 2016.
