Three university students shortlisted for the President's study-abroad scholarship

The Federal Agency of Education has announced the winners of the annual President’s study-abroad scholarship. A list of 85 nominees was recently released by the agency. Three students on the list are from Siberian Federal University.

Started 14 years ago, this annual challenge chooses the students best able to produce the most significant academic results from this unique award. The competition aims to encourage research and international cooperation among students and maintain a high level of research activity in the higher education institutions in the Russian Federation.

This year’s recipients of the award, who are from Siberian Federal University, are Yu.A. Poutintseva and two Ph.D. students: M.A. Martous (Managerial Economics) and I.V. Shestakov (Mathematical Analysis). The winners of the President’s study-abroad scholarship will continue their research at renowned universities and research centres and are expected to publish the results of their research in international peer-reviewed journals.
