Siberian Federal University has entered the prestigious world ranking THE University Impact Ranking for the first time. It evaluates the involvement of universities in the process of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals defined by the UN for the period up to 2030.
The ranking includes 1,406 universities from all over the world. SibFU took a place in the 401-600 group, demonstrating good results in the indicators "Life on Earth" (position 101-200 in the world), "Partnership for Sustainable Development" (position 201-300) and "Sustainable cities and communities" (position 201-300).
"We entered THE Impact rating for the first time and immediately took quite good positions. In many ways, this result is due to the fact that the university's development strategy until 2030 is initially focused on achieving a better and more sustainable future for everyone, and we are consistently working on this," said the Vice–Rector for Information Policy of SibFU Evgenia Turtapkina.

The rating results were published by the British rating agency Times Higher Education on April 27, 2022. The rating methodology is based on the analysis of three areas of university activity: research; socially oriented programs and the university's activities in society; resource management and the university's contribution to education in a broad sense.
