SibFU Scientific Journals Improve their Positions in SJR

According to the bibliometric portal SCImago Journal Rank (SJR), the Biology scientific journal of SibFU has been indexed by Scopus in the fourth quartile for the first time, and other SibFU scientific journals – the Humanities, Mathematics and Physics and Chemistry have confirmed their positions in the second, third and fourth quartiles, respectively.

SJR evaluates journals based on the information contained in the Scopus database. SCImago Journal Rank allows evaluating the scientific impact of the journal, taking into account both the number of citations received by the journal and the importance or prestige of the publications that refer to it.

“The Russian Federation remains open to the world science, and the presence of our journals in reputable scientific information bases is important for all our authors. The work of the editorial staff of SibFU scientific journals is carried out according to international quality standards, and our journals have chances to develop the achievements in the future,” said Ruslan Baryshev, vice-rector for Research at SibFU.

According to Natalia Koptseva, editor-in-chief of the Humanities journal, the complex SJR indicator of this series has been significantly increased over the past year, and in the future there is every chance to rise to higher positions in a row of scientific journals of the world.
