In addition to the main ranking, Interfax also presented sub-ratings. The growth in the Quality of Education sub-rating at the university was particularly high where SibFU rose by 24 positions. According to the Socialisation sub-rating, which evaluates the practice orientation, employment and convenience of campus, SibFU ranked among the top three universities in the country.

Interfax emphasize that they had analysed all the status universities of Russia.

“The results of the ranking reflect the growth of a number of federal and regional universities in such key parameters as scientific and educational activities, academic cooperation, brand and innovation. Also this year, universities participating in the Priority 2030 program have demonstrated high performance and prospects for further development,” said Alexey Gorshkov, first deputy director general of Interfax Group.

The assessment was carried out on the basis of processing data from questionnaires filled in by university representatives, available public data posted by educational institutions on their websites, public data from the information resources of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, as well as information from the information and analytical systems of Interfax — SPARK and SCAN. Among the criteria were educational and research activities, social environment, cooperation, brand, innovation and technological entrepreneurship.
