More than 50 guests from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan arrived at Krasnoyarsk to participate. They are going to study Global Entrepreneurial Management both offline and online, as well as geting to learn about ESG transformation of the economy. The program offers an intensive two-week training course with interactive lectures, acquaintance with progressive business projects, meetings with Russian top speakers, entrepreneurs, and representatives of the city and regional administration. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education officials to greet the participants via a teleconference bridge.

“The Summer University project is very young. Just last year we started inviting those who are interested to Russian universities so they could learn something new, improve their professional skills, meet new people and develop their sense of unity and mutual understanding,” said Dmitriy Afanasyev, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. “This is not a regular university, where you would attend classes, lectures and seminars. It’s fun and entertaining here, and the positive emotions help the students to solidify their newly gained knowledge and skills. Let this unique fusion of summer and university bring its participants best emotions and new knowledge in 2022.”

The representatives of a hosting regional platform also greeted the participants.

“Education and science are international in their nature, and it is one of the priorities for Siberian Federal University to create relations of fruitful scientific and educational cooperation with our colleagues from abroad. The foreigners are changing our university creating an intercultural and multilingual environment, introducing new ideas. The Summer University plays an important role in this. This year we are hosting guests from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and in light of this, we expect some improvement of the relations with these countries,” said Ruslan Baryshev, vice-rector for Research at SibFU.

The Summer University is a project of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education, and its main goal is to introduce foreign youth to the potential of Russian education and create international student communities at the premises of leading Russian universities. Fourteen Universities are going to take part in the program and more than twenty educational programs will be introduced. A Social Design Accelerator program developed at Pskov State University is going to be implemented in all participating institutions.
