The 9th session of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization took place at Siberian Federal University.

A round table discussion on the issues of transport logistics of the SCO countries in which Vladimir Kolmakov, the Provost and Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Research, participated. The participants discussed the achievements and problems of cooperation in the field of auto transport, presented projects of increasing cargo turnover between SCO countries and development of transport infrastructure. The organizers of the session think that such an event of international level will give an opportunity to carry out scientific research and technological developments in the field of roads’ construction and maintenance.

Evgeny Vaganov, Rector of Siberian Federal University, had a meeting with Anvarzhan Ismanzhanov, Rector of Kyrgyz-Uzbek University (Osh city, the Republic of Kyrgyzstan). They discussed the framework Agreement on Cooperation between two Universities of the SCO countries. It is planned to carry out joint scientific developments, fulfill the possibility of getting higher education by citizens of Kyrgyzstan and other countries on the basis of educational and scientific potential of Siberian Federal University, as well as to have an exchange of experience between faculty and students of our Universities.
