Siberian Federal University

Russian national exhibition was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Russian Federation in the exhibition center called India Expo Centre EXPO XXI in New Delhi (Republic of India) from the 25th of November to the 28th of November 2008. The exhibition was the main arrangement related to the presentation of “Russia’s year” in Republic of India. Delegation of Krasnoyarsk Region consisted of SibFU educators and staff members — Sergei F. Yamaletdinov, senior lecturer of Urban Construction Department (Institute of Urban Construction, Management and Regional Economics) and Andrew A. Uzhva, vice-rector’s assistant in Security and Human Resources. They presented the concept of development of Siberian Federal University also known as modern institution of Russia on the exhibition. The main exhibit item of the university was the model of SibFU general layout. At the opening day of exhibition, the exposition of Siberian Federal University was presented to V.B. Khristenko — Minister of Industry and Trade of Russian Federation. The exposition generated a keen interest among many visitors of the exhibition.
SibFU Delegation was provided with an opportunity to visit Delhi University named after Jawaharlal Nehru, where the delegation had a meeting with a professor Kumar (the rector of the university) and other leading experts. The meeting was devoted to the discussion of issues concerning mutual cooperation and the possibility of the Exchange of students and educators. Indian party was interested in joint projects, because there is a centre of examination of Russia affiliated to the University. All the issues were discussed in the Russian language. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Meron (the chief of the Russian research centre) gave a tour around the territory of the campus.
