The concert of Henrietta Davis, the US singer was held on the 10th of April, 2009 in the Concert Hall of Siberian Federal University.
Henrietta Davis came to Krasnoyarsk as a special guest of the XIII-th Krasnoyarsk Competition-Festival «the Spring Choral Chapels». One of the organizers of the Competition-Festival was Siberian Federal University.
The choir of soloists called «Tebye poyem» (We sing to you) took part in the concert programme. K. Jakobson, the Honoured Russian Artist is the Artistic Director and the Principal Musician of the choir «Tebye poyem». Russian singers and American prima performed the programme of spirituals (Afro-American spiritual compositions). The audience of the concert was deeply impressed with the unique talent of Henrietta Davis as she has excellent soprano and keeps up the performance traditions of Afro-American music.
The audience was so awe-inspired by the spiritual compositions that Henrietta Davis and the choir «Tebye poyem» gave an encore to the audience in the end of the concert.
