The travelling seminar of specialists of the SibFU Institute of Mining, Geology and Geotechnology and Tomsk Polytechnic University to the zone of active geological blocks near Bromo and Idzhin volcanoes (Java-island, Indonesia) was held in March 11-24, 2009 within the framework of the VIIth International Conference on «State-of-the-art technologies of mineral resources exploration».

What’s more, the group visited the University of Malaya (Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia) and the University of Airlangga (Surabaja, Indonesia). The main topic of the roundtable discussions was international exchange of students and post-graduate students who work on R&D projects of priority science and technology areas. The preliminary arrangements concerning further cooperation activities of Siberian Federal University and Asian Universities were established.
