Siberian Federal University

According to the results of the 1st Siberian University Book Contest – 2009 held on June 11, 2009 in Omsk (Russia), Siberian Federal University was awarded with the diploma for its contribution to the university book publishing and active participation in the Contest. SibFU presented more than 40 book publications and 17 journal issues. What’s more, Siberian Federal University added nine diplomas in its collection in the following nominations:

1. Best periodical – «SibFU Journal»;
2. Best serial publication – «SibFU Journal Library»;
3. Best editorial project – teaching materials set of disciplines;
4. Best biographic regional publication – «Open your Heart to the Memory. Memories of V.P. Astafiev»;
5. Best scientific publication (Humanities and Social Science) – V.G. Datsishen, «Chinese in Siberia in the XVII-XX century»;
6. Best publication (Natural Science) – А.А. Boldyrev, etc. «Biomembrane Research»;
7. Best scientific publication (Engineering Science and Maths) – Yu.G. Mikhalev, «Dissipative Structures and Mass-transfer in the High-temperature Electrochemical Kinetics»;
8. Best scientific publication (Education Science) – O.G. Smolyaninova, etc. «Competency Approach in the Higher Education System»;
9. Best educational publication (Technology) – V.S. Biront, «Metal Treating Theory».

Permanent exhibition organized in the Omsk Regional Library contains 81 university publications. Furthermore, the journal called «University Book» will present the selected publications of the diploma-winners at the international book contest.
