SibFU to join the consortium of Sib-Lab network project

Siberian Federal University joined the consortium of Sib-Lab network project and became its co-developer. The project is called «Development of research infrastructure of Master's programmes’ interdisciplinary scientific work and study: Central Siberian Global Climate Change Laboratory «Sib-Lab» and International Master's programmes in Ecological Data Analysis».

German partners of the project are Friedrich Schiller University of Jena, the Humboldt University of Berlin, Max Planck Institute for Biogeochemistry. Siberian partners of the project are V.N. Sukachev Institute of Forest and the Institute of Biophysics SB RAS. The project is funded by the International Bureau of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Germany).

Scientific and education activities (Master’s programmes) in the field of climate change and ecological data analysis are expected to take place within the framework of realization of the project. The SibFU research team will be led by Dr. Eugene A. Vaganov, SibFU rector, Academician RAS. Aleksey A. Romanov, Young scientist of the SibFU Institute of Space and Information Technology will collaborate with candidates for a master's degree.

What’s more, the virtual Russian-German network of young scientists working in the specific area will be elaborated within the framework of the project. The main objectives of the network are to exchange information and organize network projects consortium.
