Siberian Federal University

Russian Junior Mountaineering Championship and Championship of Siberian Federal District and Far East Federal District were held at the end of February in Novosibirsk (Russia).

There were two stages in the “route” discipline:
1. The tourist route hiking in the wild.
2. The jury assessment of the quality of route hiking aimed at defining the best tourist group of the class.
Each group of the route got the quality mark defined by the jury report.

The SibFU group led by Aleksander Lochekhin finished second in the Russian Junior Mountaineering Championship.

The SibFU groups led by S.M. Simonkin and A.P. Sukhanov finished third on the water route of 4th degree of complexity and on the mountain route of 3rd degree of complexity in the Championship of Siberian Federal District and Far East Federal District.
