The University of Cadiz and Siberian Federal University have signed a framework partnership agreement for joint activities and programs in teaching and research within the framework of the official visit of the SibFU delegation to Spain.

In spite of the fact that the agreement has been signed only now, both universities generate their cooperation till September 2009. The UCA staff took part in different scientific events organized by the SibFU such as the Conference on Hispanic studies «The Spanish language in the present-day world» (September 2009), International Workshop «Climatic and environmental changes» (November 2009). Pablo Terradilios Rodriges, the UCA teacher works in the SibFU Spanish Language Centre, conducts language courses and helps to organize events devoted to Spanish culture.

Another remarkable document signed during the official visit to Spain was the Agreement on Cooperation between Siberian Federal University and the University of Alicante. The agreement aims at encouraging academic mobility between universities, publishing joint monographs on history, linguistics, etc. interested for both universities. It also entails the development of joint scientific projects and organization of international workshops.

This summer some students learning Spanish will have a splendid opportunity to continue their education in the language centres of the University of Cadiz and the University of Alicante.
