Siberian Federal University was ranked in the top rating of the higher educational institutions launched to monitor how campuses are equipped for people with limited mobility. The rating of architectural availability was elaborated by RIA Novosti, Russian Rectors’ Union and Higher School of Economics for the disabled students within the framework of the «Social Navigator» project.

When working on the rating, the experts analyzed the architectural availability of the campuses of the Russian universities which had claimed to be well-equipped for people with limited mobility. Commercial and state universities of Russia participated in the rating on a voluntary basis: 157 out of 800 higher educational institutions agreed on showcasing their buildings for the experts.

Each university was evaluated in terms of different factors with 72 maximum balls and 0 minimum one. In case the campus buildings of the higher educational institution were located in different areas, each of them was separately inspected and then the average indicators of the university were calculated.

91 universities received no less than 50 % out of the maximum possible amount of balls were included in the final top-rating.
