Maria Serzhantova's research paper is about a theoretical framework for investigating the magnetic properties of hexagonal boron nitride. Maria has co-authored about twenty publications in research journals, she was an awardee of the young professionals municipal competition in the nomination 'Research and technological achievements' in 2009. She was an awardee of the individual grant competition arranged by the Krasnoyarsk Research Foundation in 2008.

Zamaraev Charitable Scientific Foundation works under the auspices of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry. Its main task is to support Russian early career scientists doing research in chemistry. There were only five awardees in this year competition.

The scholarship is 6 thousand roubles a month

It is paid from January to August.
The awardee of 2010 competition was Anna Gardymova, a doctoral student from SibFU's Institute of Engineering Physiscs and Radioelectronics.
