On 4 March 2022, rector of Siberian Federal University Maksim Rumiantsev met with international students and answered their questions regarding security, organization of the educational process and finances.

Among the topics covered by the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum 2022, on 3 March 2022, the participants discussed the impact of the technology transfer system on the universities development.

On 2-3 March 2022, Yenisey Siberia REC held an kickoff seminar on the New Education, where speakers discussed innovations in engineering education, forms of education in the digital world and the prospect of participation in the Advanced Engineering Schools federal project on the basis of Siberian Federal University.

On the first day of the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, experts discussed topical issues of the gastronomy and hospitality industry. Decentralization and Sustainable Development in the Hospitality Industry: the Role of Regional Integrators panel discussion brought together representatives of the restaurant business, regional authorities and the academic community.

On 24-25 February, a delegation from the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute visited Siberian Federal University.

The strategic session was held at Siberian Federal University on February 24, 2022. Its participants discussed the priorities of the Student Tourism Program development. The session was headed by Grigory Gurov, the Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia.

The lecturers of the Startup Academy, employees of the School of Gastronomy, were trained at the Skolkovo Business School under the Practicum on Game Technology program. The Startup Academy was created as part of the Priority 2030 project and is aimed at stimulating, assisting and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives among students and employees of Siberian Federal University by creating a comprehensive infrastructure for the implementation of entrepreneurship in the form of start-ups, as well as small and medium-sized businesses.

Scientists from the School of Trade and Services of Siberian Federal University, together with colleagues from Baltic State Technical University "Voenmekh" and Kurnakov Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, studied the effect of indium-tin oxide protective films blocking ultraviolet and infrared radiation on the shelf life of foodstuffs that are stored in glassware and contain fats. Films are applied to the surface of glass containers and bottles and contribute to the careful and long-term preservation of all organoleptic properties of fat-containing products, reliably preventing their oxidation.

On February 19-20, 2022, Siberian Federal University took part in the International Education exhibitions in Nur-Sultan and Almaty (Kazakhstan), and on February 22 — in Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).

There is only a month left until the European continental stage of the Bocuse d'Or - an international culinary competition. According to the results of this stage, the winning countries will receive a ticket to the finals. The competition will be held on March 23 and 24, 2022 in Budapest, the capital of Hungary. The SibFU team representing Russia was included in the list of 23 semi-finalists of the Bocuse d'Or Europe 2022 continental qualifying round.
