A summer trip to study Russian architecture and design was held in late August for a group of Russian and American students (Institute of Architecture and Civil Construction, Siberian Federal University; College of Architecture and Urban Planning, University of Washington).

An agreement signed with Tokyo Boeki, Ltd (Russia) will provide the best university undergraduate and doctoral students with scholarships to support their studies.
This year has brought new awards to students from the Department of Architecture, Institute of Architecture and Civil Construction, SFU. An international competition of students’ projects in architecture and design took place in Vologda.
University students are ready to compete in singing, dancing and theatrical performance. Department teams from every university division have applied to perform in the university competition to be held 23 October in the city’s Musical Theatre. The competition traces its origin back to the first event held 10 years ago.
The VI International School Environmental Physics for Early Career Researchers held in Tomsk from 1 to 5 October highlighted the researchers’ innovative results and prospects for their commercialization. The competition committee selected five winners. One of them is Maria Alexandrova, a fifth-year student from the Department of Biophysics, Institute of Arts and Sciences, Siberian Federal University.
