Siberian Federal University

Russian Students Swimming Championship was held on December 26, 2009 in Moscow. The Championship became a head-start for the best swimmers of Russia to be selected for the student national team and participate in the World Universiade.

The next stage turned out to be successful for the national team as one of its representatives reached the victory podium in Ruhpolding (Germany).

The National Fin swimming Championship was held on January 8-9, 2010 in Tomsk (Russia).

Krasnoyarsk Press Ball was held at the Russian Press’ Day on January 13, 2010. Elena Naumova, 5 – year student of the SibFU Institute of Philology and Language Communication, news reporter of Krasnoyarsk Broadcasting Company «Vesti-Krasnoyarsk» became the winner of the regional contest in nomination «Debut of the Year».

By the RF Executive Order №12-r of January 16, 2010, the Federal State Autonomous Educational Institution of Higher Education «Siberian Federal University» was established by changing the status of the existing Federal State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Training «Siberian Federal University».

Box Championship of Siberian Federal District was held on January 5-10, 2010 in Altai Krai.

Olga Medvedtseva, SibFU student joined the national team and won her first relay race in Oberhof (Germany) on January 6, 2010.

SibFU delegation led by Prof. Vladimir I. Kolmakov, First Vice-Rector – Academic Affairs visited the People's Republic of China on December 17-24, 2009.

Scientists of the SibFU Polytechnic Institute were awarded for meritorious work in quality assurance of Russian goods at the City Administration of Krasnoyarsk on December 22, 2009.

The Delegation of the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) led by Anatoly Chubais, Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation visited the SibFU Center for equipment joint use on December 17, 2009. The aim of the visit was to get an insight into R&D nano projects of the SibFU scientists.
